Münich recently hosted a unique gathering at the Oktoberfest, specifically designed for women, within the private setting of the Schützenfestzelt. This event stood out as one of the most exclusive and intimate celebrations of the festival, emphasizing personal connections rather than public accolades.
Petra Reinbold, the wife of the festival's renowned host Edi Reinbold, welcomed approximately 60 distinguished guests, including prominent figures from various fields. The atmosphere was filled with warmth as Reinbold expressed her gratitude for the attendees, highlighting the unique bonds she shares with each of them.
Among the attendees were notable personalities such as Regine Sixt, a leader in the car rental industry; legendary ski racer Christa Kinshofer; and Birgit Strauß, the head of a significant foundation and daughter-in-law of former Bavarian Prime Minister Franz Josef Strauß. Other guests included notable physician and art patron Sigrid Streletzki, PR expert Andrea Schoeller, former festival organizer Josefine Inselkammer, and charity advocate Natalie Schmid, wife of former Munich mayor Josef Schmid.
The luncheon featured a delightful menu, including traditional Bavarian dishes such as high-quality rib roast complemented by potato pancakes and green beans, followed by the classic dessert of Kaiserschmarrn served with plum compote. The culinary experience was paired with engaging entertainment, as singer Isi Gräfin von Schaesberg took to the stage, performing alongside Walter Bankhammer and his band, "Die Niederalmer." Their rendition of Tina Turner's iconic song "The Best" not only energized the crowd but also served as a tribute to the host and her friends, who joined in singing and dancing.
The event underscored the importance of friendship and shared joy, demonstrating how a simple luncheon can extend into a lively celebration lasting until the late afternoon. The camaraderie among the attendees highlighted the essence of maintaining strong personal connections, celebrating life and each other in a festive atmosphere.
