Whether Mickey Mouse and Peter Pan, Dumbo and Bambi, Ariel and the Frozen: The comics and films from the Disney studios shaped generations of people worldwide. 100 years after its founding, the anniversary can now be celebrated in a befitting manner. Disney 100: The exhibition can be seen until September 3rd!

The brothers Walt and Ron Disney brought $500 in seed capital when they opened the "Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio" in Los Angeles on October 16, 1923. At the beginning, the rise to become the market leader in the global entertainment industry was far from foreseeable. For the anniversary exhibition, the Walt Disney Archives opened their secret vaults for the first time to show visitors a number of extraordinary and surprising objects, including more than 250 rarely shown original works of art and artifacts, costumes, props and memorabilia.

The unique exhibits will be presented in the Small Olympic Hall from April 18 to September 3, 2023 in ten imaginative galleries, with interactive and innovative installations. Disney100: The Exhibition takes you on a journey through a century of adventure, magic and fantasy, celebrating classics from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to the current animated film Strange World, as well as the newest members of the Disney family Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel and National Geographic. There are also insights into the creation of films, shows and attractions from Disneyland to Walt Disney World.

Guides

From July 27th to 30th, exclusive, free tours in English with Walt Disney Archives curator Kelsey Williams, daily at 10:30 am, 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. (Only with a valid ticket)

From August 1st to 27th, free guided tours for all visitors with a valid ticket. Every Tuesday and Wednesday at 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. and Thursday at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The meeting point for all tours is in the lower foyer directly in front of the entrance to the exhibition, always 10 minutes before the start of the tour. Attention: Limited number of participants! No reservations are possible, participation is based on the "first come first served" principle.

General info

The reduced ticket price applies to children aged 10-16, pupils, seniors (from 65 years), students (up to 27 years), trainees (up to 27 years), severely disabled persons from GdB 70, people doing civil and military service, social welfare recipients and severely disabled persons with registered Accompanying person (accompanying person has free entry, does not need their own ticket).

The family ticket is valid for a maximum of 4 people (2 adults + 2 children up to 14 years) or 1 adult + 3 children (up to 14 years).

Children up to 5 years have free entry (accompanied by their parents) without a separate free ticket.

Please do not bring a stroller into the exhibition. Exceptions can be made if traffic permits. A visit with a stroller is recommended from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, due to the high number of visitors, a visit with a pram is not recommended for safety reasons.
