Black Friday, Fast Fashion and the Cost of Constant Consumption

Convenient and refreshing, community pools often play an important role for Munich's population during the hot summer months.
However, more and more professionals and full-time workers, have complained about the open hours of the public pools. These open at 9 a.m. and generally close at 6 p.m., which coincides roughly with the end of the normal working day. Unfortunately, for many of Munich's employed citizens, this can mean no outdoor pool-time this summer.
SWM Badebetriebe (Pool Company) has said that unfortunately, this will not change. They want to be able to clear and prepare the pool for the next day in daylight and must therefore close the pool before it gets dark.
However, those hard workers are still able to go to many indoor pools in Munich, which are often open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., or to the Dantebad, which tends to be open later.
The company also states that it is extremely difficult to work in their business, as often rainy days mean closing and unpopular days mean a huge public pool is open for the same amount of hours but for fewer guests.
With the recent increase in temperature, this seems like a bitter compromise for those people hoping to cool-off outdoors after a long, hot, working day.
